L.A. this weekend

This Saturday and Sunday, December 5 & 6, Bank of America is granting each BofA card holder one free admission (one card, one admission) to L.A.C.M.A. There are other museums open to this promotion in California and in other states- for a full list and other information click here.

Something else I’m actually quite tempted to check out this weekend is Unique LA, an independent design show featuring over 300 local designers. The only drawback for me is the $10 admission and $6 parking on top of what my purchases for the day will cost; I’m pretty sure I would not leave an event like this empty handed- student = poor! Proceeds of the event go to a local non-profit charity, and you get a free tote bag, free drink, and other freebies with your admission- just to let you know where your money is going.

why hello-woof!

Hi all! I’m Sasha’s new little brother, Wolfie Amadeus Mozart.

Five things about me:
1. I am a Shitzu. It’s rumored that my breed is dumb and stubborn, but I am very bright! I learned how to pee on the peepee pad after one day of practice!
2. Sometimes, mommy forgets I’m in the room because I’m so quiet and calm. I make sure that she never forgets about me by leaving little surprise poopies all over her room!
3. I look like a rug… I’ve even been stepped on a few times- ow!
4. I get the hiccups at least twice a -hiccup- day. Grawr.
5. My puppy breath smells like coffee. Daddy will have to grow to love it.

we love us some burgers – Ruby’s

Too foggy to surf?! It’s okay, there is plenty more to do! T and I drove from Sunset Beach to Huntington Beach and filled ourselves happy with some Ruby’s.

We indulged ourselves with jalapeno mozzarella sticks to start off, and then T had a mushroom-y/swiss cheese-y/onion-y gardenburger accompanied with garlic fries while I killed off a Kobe beef burger and cajun fries (yes, the whole thing! Without a regret, I might add).

Check out the grin on this guys face. Who doesn’t love milkshakes?! (T especially loves the ones that come in silver cups..)

Ruby o’ Ruby, when will you bring your juicy burgers, A+ garlic fries, and delicious shakes over to the SGV?

dusting off the brother

Guess who finally took the cover off her sewing machine and spent 30 minutes re-teaching herself how to thread it by watching YouTube videos? ME! I have always had this terrible, and expensive, habit of pursuing hobbies and not following through with them, so as of late, I’ve been dusting off my sewing machine, Cricut machine, camera, and other useful gadgets. Check out the handkerchief that I stitched with my machine last week. I know it’s not much but I felt SO INCREDIBLY ACCOMPLISHED afterwards. Sewing is quite awesome! Can’t wait to see what I can put together!
